The meaning of the mission to save your soul:
To live in the full radiance of the light. It has nothing to do with any belief, any god, any set of rules. It simply means to face the light of truth, to be with life as it presents. Neither good nor bad, it simply is. To no longer resist, to no longer feign hiding in the darkness...
Hades, the underworld, is the metaphor for suffering in darkness, which is the act of refusal. Resisting what is. Saving your soul is the mission to heal, to make healthy, to release suffering, to allow for the full spectrum broadband transmission of light to your human psyche and your perceiving, dreaming body.
Only you can do this for you. The requisites: to feel, to think, to dream. To be or not to be is this question of whether or not you will commit to being a partner with life, light, universe, joy, the pervasive divine spark of consciousness. This is the metaphor of marriage. In truth, you marry life, and thus your own being.
For better or worse:
No matter what comes, you are committed to trust the process of life. To feel the pain which guides you to awareness, intelligence, creative expression, play.
What is this process of life that we must trust at all cost? Are we as a scared, tender, adolescent wild pup that must be coaxed from its hiding place to be fed and stroked? Le Petit Prince and his fox. We are the little prince and the fox, both. This is the taming, the bonding, this is the process of saving your soul, of claiming your divine innocence in the full light of awareness; and knowing its value, knowing what it means.
